The above diptych paintings were inspired from an original painting made by Xia Kui of the Ming Dynasty. The original work dates to the 15th century and displays children playing in the garden in traditional games.
A collection of floral illustrations of plants and flowers from the coast of Coromandel of India inspired the following pillows. The original works were printed by W. Bulmer and Company for G. Nicol Booksellers and the work is housed at the Biodiversity Heritage Library. The botanical plates date back to the 18th century and document specimens in the Coromandel coast, which stretches from Tamil Nadu to the Andhra Pradesh states of India. The above vine is Thunbergia Fragrans, also more commonly known as Whitelady vine. The below pillows were inspired from the botanical plates documenting the specimen Limonia pentapphylla. And the last set is inspired from the speciment Swietenia Chloroxylon.
