American artist and designer Louis Comfort Tiffany worked in decorative arts and is best known for his work in stained glass. His designs are most associated with the Art Nouveau and Aesthetic movements. The following collection of pillows and accessories was inspired from the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany in his various mediums. Here, hand blown glass lamp shades and windows come to life in reflecting flowers through hues of light. Using graphically applications, photos of Tiffany's works in stained glass have been adapted into a digital format and altered to reflect greater saturation, highlighting hues and creating contrast. Leveraging innovations in digital fabric printing, colours and patterns have been adapted digitally onto fabric. Designs are conceived in our studios in Oakland, California. Fabric is printed and sewn in China. Each pillow is stuffed and shipped from Oakland, California. NPA-019 Tiffany Magnolias Pillow The original form of this work of art is in a stained glass window. Tiffany meticulously created the silhouette of magnolia blossoms and each bloom comes to life in shades of cream on a blue sky. This kidney sized pillow measures 10" inches by 16" inches. Art work is printed on the front and back on a silky poly satin. Covers are removable via an invisible zipper and machine washable in gentle cycle. A down and feather pillow insert is included. NPA-019S1672 Tiffany Magnolias Scarf The colours and patterns of Tiffany's magnolia stained glass inspired us to play and conjure patterns that displayed the beauty and artistry of stained glass art. With meticulousness Tiffany created silhouettes of blooms on trees that organically came to life. We patterned these stems and flowers and created a scarf that uniquely captures the vibrancy and spirit of Tiffany's work. Scarves are made of satin charmeuse and measure 16" inches by 72" inches. Each is hand-cut and sewn with a baby rolled finished hem. Scarves may be hand washed in cold water and are made one at a time in Canada. NPA-020 Tiffany Irises Pillow | 10” X 16” In this pillow, bearded irises come to life in moody hues of purple and aubergine. The original medium of this art is a stained glass window by Tiffany. The placement of the Irises and long sworded leaves conjure the works of Vincent Van Gogh in his study of Irises and self portrait. NPA-020S1672 Tiffany Irises Scarf NPA-014 Tiffany Wisteria Pillow | 10” X 16” Wisteria blooms come to life in gradients of lavender in this Tiffany inspired design. The original work by Tiffany is a lampshade illuminated by light. Patterning the blooms and saturated the blue tones and reds gave dimension to our fabric. NPA-014S1672 Tiffany Wisteria Scarf Tiffany Grapevine Pillows Grapevines with leaves in blue and green come alive in this pair of pillows. Shades of marine blue and olive green were accentuated and created a glowing effect. by Thomas Edward The green elm with the one great bough of gold Lets leaves into the grass slip, one by one, -- The short hill grass, the mushrooms small milk-white, Harebell and scabious and tormentil, That blackberry and gorse, in dew and sun, Bow down to; and the wind travels too light To shake the fallen birch leaves from the fern; The gossamers wander at their own will. At heavier steps than birds' the squirrels scold. The rich scene has grown fresh again and new As Spring and to the touch is not more cool Than it is warm to the gaze; and now I might As happy be as earth is beautiful, Were I some other or with earth could turn In alternation of violet and rose, Harebell and snowdrop, at their season due, And gorse that has no time not to be gay. But if this be not happiness, -- who knows? Some day I shall think this a happy day, And this mood by the name of melancholy Shall no more blackened and obscured be.

Our motto 'live poetically,' has no boundary in terms of rooms and space. We've expanded our designs to encompass the dining room and found beautiful applications in table runners and napkins. In Jan Davidsz de Heem's still life painting Vase of Flowers, we found beauty in the realism of flowers depicted. Bearded Irises, striated tulips, bumble bees and more come to life. The vibrancy of colours and movement of blossoms and foliage come to life on a background of mousse. For a lighter tone, Camille Pissarro's Pink Peonies captures the romanticism of impressionism in a bouquet of pink peonies. With care, blossoms were carefully cropped and hand placed in our napkins and table runners. Fabrics are silky soft satin and machine washable in cold gentle cycle. Come see these new pieces at NYNOW August 11-14, 2019 at the Javitz Convention Center booth 2770. Jan Davidsz de Heem was born in Utrecht and first studied under his father David de Heem the Elder, and later under Balthasar van der Ast. His talent for creating meticulous still life paintings and portraits garnered him a sound reputation that commanded the highest prices for his paintings. Several of his paintings were actually works by his sons, or apprentices. He finished many paintings and signed them as his own. In this long dramatic lumbar, a marble cartouche holds a bouquet of sunflowers, fruits and creatures. DLA-033 Cartouche Sunflower Bouquet Pillow This dyptich lumbar was inspired from the work of Jan Davidsz de Heem. In a style his own, flowers and creatures come alive in vibrant hues in de Heem's works. With careful inspection, each work reflected a fine attention to detail in its depiction of surroundings and the subjects. Note the striations of the centerpiece tulip and its juxtaposition to a midnight bearded iris and the masterful play of light in this still life bouquet. DLA-034 Mauritshuis Tulip Pillow In the second part of this dyptich lumbar, Jan Davidsz de Heem captures a bouquet of flowers and fruit arranged in a bountiful manner to reflect the fruits of a harvest. Colours across the spectrum are vibrantly displayed in a realistic floral explosion. DLA-035 Mauritshuis Bouquet Pillow
In our Jana pillow, a bouquet originally drafted by the Dutch master Jan van Huysum captures the beauty of flowers arranged naturally in a bouquet. Capturing the season, real flowers were procured to model as still life subjects for each painting. CMI-027 Jana Square Pillow Born in 1682 in Amsterdam, Jan van Huysum was trained by his father in the arts. His craft for drafting works, painting of still life and landscape evolved over time. In this Vana pillow, Van Huysum's hand in sketch conjures the realness of each bloom and captures the beauty of flowers arranged in an organic fashion. The overall colour tones are warmer, and yet subtler to portray the season of autumn. These drafted works of art were applied with vibrant jewel toned colours and became works of art in themselves. CMI-028 Vana Square Pillow This diptych pillow was inspired from the artist Melanie de Comolera, who initially saw the work of Dutch still life Jan van Huysum in 1827 in London in the Henry Hope Collection in Cavendish Square. The work exemplifies van Huysum's attention to detail in portraying flowers, leaves, creatures in a honey toned setting. Note the detail of the terra cotta vase, and his study of flowers including Peonies, Roses, Carnations, An Iris, Anemones, Auriculas that make this bouquet a feast for the eyes. Discoveries at Suites at Market Square Spring 2019 On April 6-10th we exhibited at the Suites at Market Square for the spring High Point Market. It was wonderful to see fellow vendors and buyers from across the country. We remained at our location at the top floor of the Suites at Market Square at T802. At every show, it's an opportunity to connect with the community. We so appreciate your feedback and your generous insights into how we can be better as a company and ways where we can innovate. Here is a recap from this market. Trend Watch Spring 2019 We were so honored to receive news that one of our pillows was chosen to be a part of Trend Watch Spring 2019. This season there were specific themes that spoke to designers: maximalism, ore and charge. These ideas and visual motifs spoke to convey the feelings and motivations across generations. Our pink oushak rug inspired pillow made it into this maximalist room located at the IHFC lobby. Thank you to Sandra Talley and the Trend Watch team. New Luxurious Throws This season, we are launching a new line of throws. More photos will come, but these four were inspired from William Morris patterns, Qing dynasty blue and white porcelain silhouette and embroidery work from the far east. Each throw is printed on the front and back. The front is a silky poly fabric and that is smooth, cool and soft to the touch. The fabric chosen is reflective of the high resolution of digital printing to accentuate the colours, lines and patterns in each work. The lining is also printed in a brushed chenille velvet that is supremely soft to the touch. Edges are finished with pompoms, which were quite controversial. We are still taking surveys. While some loved the pompoms, some felt they were a bit too frilly. Each piece is made one at a time in Oakland, California from imported fabrics. Please stay tuned for more designs and photos. If you saw these at market, please DM us; we would love to hear what you thought about these new throws. The Poetry of Sleep As we entered into the 2019 season, we thought long and hard about our designs, and how we could evolve. Good sleep is crucial for all to start a new day and make the most of each day. It's a time for recharge and a time to dream. We started a line called Dream Catcher, The Poetry of Sleep because there were so many beautiful prints, and motifs that spoke to how we can create special spaces in the bedroom. We began with a few pillow cases, shams and throws that were delicately designed and inspired from old botanical illustrations on a white clean backdrop. In the above example, we have a collection of white vine renderings from the Coromandel region paired with our Pimpernel Morris euro to celebrate the shades of sage green. We've designed these beautiful shams in Standard and King sizes printed on the front and back and there were several vocalizations about where the matching duvets were. We also launched a jewel collection of eye pillows. These were sold out, and many were demanding cash and carry. We will be creating new designs and offering more eye pillows. Exciting things are about to come. Bold is Beautiful The adjacent wall to our Dream Catcher Poetry of Sleep was a collection of bright and vibrant prints that spoke to the season and the times to come. Some celebrated history while others roared with maximalism. Every pillow has a story. Take time to look through and find pieces that help tell your story. Come Join Us at Our Next Show at NYNOW We will be back in New York at the Jacob Javits Convention Center at Booth 2173.
