With meticulous detail, illustrators John Nugent Fitch and Gertrude Hamilton brought to life orchids in The Orchid Album published in 1872.  Inspired from these prints, we adapted the works into patterns that seamlessly flowered over fabric.  Using digital graphical applications, colours have been translated into jewel tone pigmentations of petals and blooms.  Here, the orchid species Cattleya Whitei blooms in saturated shades of pink and burgundy.
