Orchid Downiana Aurea Pillow

With meticulous detail, illustrators John Nugent Fitch and Gertrude Hamilton brought to life orchids in the wild in The Orchid Album published in 1872. Inspired from these prints, we adapted the works into patterns that seamlessly flowed over fabric. Using digital graphical applications, colours have been translated into jewel tone pigmentations of petals and blooms. Here, the orchid species Cattleya Dowiana Aurea regally blooms in clear yellow sepals centered with a bearded striation of maroon and tangerine striations.
